The Adecco Group has been named one of the best multinationals to work for in the world, according to Great Place to Work® and Fortune...
The Adecco Group ranked 7th on the 2016 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces list, compiled by Great Place to Work®, an independent US research, consulting and training organisation. Great Place to Work® selected the world’s best from more than 6,000 multinationals that participated in Best Workplaces competitions throughout the world.
Beating stiff competition and appearing ahead of a number of major global brands, Adecco Group is the only workforce solutions company to feature in the top 25 and the only professional services brand to appear in the top 15.
To make it onto the shortlist, companies must appear in at least five national Best Workplaces lists, employ more than 5,000 people and have more than 40% of their workforce based outside their home country.
The Adecco Group qualified after appearing in Great Place to Work® Best Company lists in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Inspiring talented people to stay and grow with the company is one of the Adecco Group's strategic priorities. The relentless focus on delivering superior experience to the Adecco Group’s clients and candidates is a result of the hard work of leaders around the world to create an engaging place to work for all employees. Attracting and retaining talented people is only possible within a culture of engagement, which in turn drives greater customer satisfaction and higher productivity.
Businesses who are known to have or can demonstrate a positive working culture and environment are likely to attract more candidate applications and be able to choose the correct fit more easily. Company review website Glassdoor recently announced the employers offering the best work/life balance in the UK, according to their own employees. This will prove a powerful draw for candidates over the coming months. Apple, American Express and John Lewis were all expected names inside the top 20, but Screwfix at number 5 might surprise some people – not their employees however.
John Marshall III, CEO of Adecco Group UK & Ireland, said:
“Adecco Group’s inclusion in the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces ranking is fantastic recognition for the hard work, commitment and entrepreneurial spirit of the entire Adecco Group and all the inspiring individuals around the world who contribute to our unique working culture. I take great personal pride that the Adecco Group UK & Ireland’s own Great Place to Work® Best Company listing has contributed to our global success and I would like to congratulate all of our colleagues on this well-deserved achievement..”
